What does a safe weight loss diet consist of?  Well, there are many different methods out there for losing weight, some are more effective than others in the short run, some are more effective than others in the long run, some are a safe weight loss diet, some are high in protein or low in fat, and some actually make you put on weight!   It’s important to get a thorough understanding of what types of ideas go into an effective and safe weight loss diet, then you will be able to choose which one is best for you

I figured the best way to help you understand what goes into a safe diet is by showing you exactly what types of diets aren’t safe. So here are a few pointers to help you understand what a  SAFE WEIGHT LOSS DIET isn’t.

Three extremely Important Tips

  1. Don’t use diet pills:  It’s simple; A safe diet does not consist of diet pills.  These pills have their place in the weight loss industry for fast weight loss, but all of them do something unnatural to your body that can easily take time off of your life.
  2. Stay away from low carb diets:  Low carb diets are not good for you.  The reason being that they exaggerate how little carbs you should actually have.  You get your energy from carbohydrates so you need them.  The safest way to diet is to still eat carbs but only the good kinds like fruits and vegetables.
  3. Forget about the “no eating” diet:  Believe it or not, people actually do this to themselves.  The worst part is that it doesn’t work.  You may lose a couple of pounds initially, but when our bodies go into starvation mode, we try to hold onto as much fat as possible.  Guess what, your body starts eating away at your muscles more than your fat.  For me, and many others who enjoy exercise and lifting weights, you will lose all of your progress if you attempt to do this, so don’t.
